Spirit Medicine Journey

with Shoshana Weinberg

Join Wise Woman Herbalist, Shoshana Weinberg for a plant spirit medicine journey. All of her life she has been communicating with herbs back to when she was 7 years old. It was not until she studied with the wise woman herbalist Robin Rose Bennett that she started to use the herbs as medicine. This discovery continued as she went from coast to coast to study with masters in the ways of herbs. After more than 20 years practising, Shoshana now calls on 10 sisters who will join in circle for a 3 hour Power of Plant and Making Medicine Journey.

We will begin by focusing on deepening our relationship with the spirit of the plants. Shoshana will lead a guided meditation while using the medicine drum. You will also be given small doses of tincture, a cup of tea and be cleansed with sage smudge in order to experience the deep sense of connection with the energy of our green Ally's. Following our plant spirit meditation we will be journaling our experience to allow for the seeds of your intentions to grow.

We will continue our journey by gathering our sacred medicine songs and singing to lift our spirits even higher and connect deeper with Mother. We will discover the six steps to healing and then using our use our senses to understand deeper our Green Ally's. Shoshana will choose herbs appropriate for this season to harness into medicine. Herbal medicine is a hands on practise and we will use traditional ways and folk medicine which is simple and slow. You will leave with tinctures, oils, and infusions to nourish yourself and your families through the coming of winter.

Shoshana Weinberg

Shoshana started healing in her teens with her grandmother's arthritis. Finding her first teacher, a wise woman healer, took her through Asia. On this journey, she realised that a one-time childhood hobby – making herb poultices – would shape her future with studies of the renowned herbalist Michael Moore and Dr. Vasant Lad. Practicing while studying was the way to learn deeply about the plants and their abilities.

Living in Asia, Weinberg had the opportunity to learn about herbal medicine among village tribes. Here she forged a path: “I wanted to learn to heal myself, learn to live off the land and learn to help others.”

Equipped with vast knowledge, she moved from helping herself to helping others into a career as a leader in spa development for many hotels and resorts where now she is Spa Director at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong. Her ultimate pleasure in life is to watch her fellow kin radiate healing and contentment.
