About the land

The island of Cheung Chau is a tom-bolo that formed millions of years ago in the South China Sea. It is the cradle of Hong Kong civilisation. With many fresh water sources, micro climates, fertile land, good fishing spots and sandy beaches, it offers all the necessities to sustain life. The rock carvings on the island date back to over 3,000 years old.

This November we return to Sai Yuen Farm, a hidden outdoor sanctuary situated on over 11 acres of land on the Southwestern tip of the humble fishing village of Cheung Chau Island. This unique destination in Hong Kong offers a range of camping facilities, access to private beaches and bonfires. Let us embrace this new found land as we continue to gift ourselves with the opportunity to tune out of our daily lives and into the simplicity of being with our Earth Mother.

As we share space with one another and open to an embrace of giving and receiving, may we not forget to share our blessings, love and abundance with the spirit and beings of this land so that we may return with ease, grace and the hands of our sisters by our side.

Together we are offering something to the betterment of our world, as we each carry a voice, a gift and power to discover and share. Tending to this garden of vision, we awaken to the sense of belonging to that of which nourishes our spirit. May our harvest be shared and planted in communities and beyond.
